Cryptid Command 2 patch set on Kickstarter: Chupacabra, Mothman & the Kraken!
I know from talking with many of you during the NAZCA campaign that my last two holiday-themed patch campaigns (Halloween and Krampus themed patches) weren't your thing, so I just wanted to let you know about this new cryptid-themed patch set.
The core 3-pack (which qualifies for stretch goal items with one already unlocked) is only $21 (plus shipping).
Hope to seem some new recruits over at the campaign to help us unlock more stretch goals! The 2-week campaign ends on March 20, 2017.

One Giant Leap…
With some generous help from friend, fellow artist, and backer Todd Hiney (now promoted to Supreme Commander of Insignia Organization) this weekend, I was able to package up the remaining 200 rewards and get them down to the post office for delivery to everyone today.
In the end, I had to make two bike trailer trips for this second round of deliveries.

My goal this weekend was to make sure everyone's reward was in the mail today. I'm hoping most of you get the packages before the Halloween patch campaign launches on Oct. 10th, but at the least you should all receive your NAZCA rewards before the Halloween campaign ends on the 31st.
In the end, the shipment of the larger mailers i was waiting on got delayed, but coincidentally the smaller mailers I had ordered to restock for other shipping did arrive, and it turns out I was able to use those.
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but desperation is the uncle of resourcefulness.
A few notes about the rewards:
If you pledged for the limited edition set, you'll find the signed and numbered version on the back of the Easter Island Outpost display card.
If you ordered a t-shirt during the BackerKit survey, those will ship separately from the patches and magnets. I'll be processing those this week and they usually take 5-7 days to process and ship.
If your reward included original art, those will be shipping separately next week.
BackerKit should be emailing you shortly with your tracking numbers, and keep in mind it may take some time for the packages to get into the postal system.
BackerKit: Thumbs Up
I really have to make a mention about how pleased I am with the BackerKit service. As a 6-time creator who up until this point used my own cobbled-together spreadsheets to fulfill rewards, I can say without hesitation that BackerKit was well worth the cost.
The reward packing and shipping process can be extremely confusing, frustrating and time-consuming. BackerKit reduced this considerably. There are some things I think could be improved and some things overlooked, but overall it was a big help in being able to manage fulfillment and package and ship the rewards.
I hope the experience was good for you on the backer side of things, as I plan to use them for all campaigns going forward.
Halloween Patch Set: Launches Oct. 10th
As mentioned in previous updates, I'm launching my next patch campaign, "Hallows Angels", which will feature 4 Halloween-themed embroidered patches as the main rewards, with of course additional designs ready for stretch goals as they are unlocked.

Now that rewards are shipping, it would be great if you could take a minute to either drop me a line or post on the campaign public comments section with a few words about your experience with the campaign and the merchandise once it arrives. I'd like to use it for promoting future campaigns, and I think it's a big help to potential new backers. It's also just nice to hear your reactions to everything. I love hearing people's responses to the merchandise and campaigns.

Future Campaigns
After the Halloween patch campaign wraps and ships, the next campaign will be the delayed Cryptid Command 2 patch set, featuring the Mothman, the Chupacabra and the Kraken. Continuing the land/sea/air military patch theme of course. Look for that in early 2017.
After that, I have plans for the launch of a new mythological creatures patch series, a new cryptid patch series (hint: Flatwoods, Boggy Creek)
At some point, you know I will be doing a Krampus patch as well…
And yes, I am still developing that Lovecraft-themed campaign. And I have plans for some fun conspiracy theory inspired patches too…
I also have a bit of a unique patch-related item I want to develop, something that will allow you to attach any patch to any article of clothing or any accessory — non-destructively and temporarily.
